Lenovo claims the Yoga 3 Pro to be the World’s Thinnest Ultrabook and we have to give them that given its slim line 12.8mm (0.5″) thickness making it as slim as a pencil. The device weighs only 1.19kg and still packs enough firepower with the new Intel Core M 5Y70 and Core M 5Y71 processor, ports (2 X USB 3.0, 1 x DC-in with USB2.0 function, 4-in-1 card reader, microHDMI out and audio combo jack). Given its size and weigh, you get only up to 7.2 hours of battery life but it does come with more memory at 8GB RAM and bigger storage (256 or 512GB). We like the one-of-a-kind ‘watchband’ hinge – hand assembled from 813 individual pieces of aluminium and steel for more stability in touch mode.

HP Envy x2 13 13.3-inch Full HD touchscreen – Convertible Tablet

While it uses the new Mobile processor from Intel, HP’s choice for Envy x2 13 is the slower Intel Core M-5Y10 running only at 800MHz with Turbo Boost frequency at 2.0GHz. It also has less memory, only 4GB RAM and smaller SSD storage at 128GB. Its saving grace is its dual front firing BeatsAudio speakers, think HTC One smartphone and its stereo front facing speakers. The speakers are positioned for a richer sound experience. A bigger 15.6-inch version is also available in the form of HP Envy x2 15 with very similar specs but option instead for a 500GB hard drive.
