A direct competitor to Asus VivoMini and Apple MacMini, the HP Elite Slice carries both computing prowess and style, a ready built mini PC perfect for the office environment or at home if your study. It takes its dark and shiny copper accent from the premium Spectre line of laptops that we have been tempted by and splash out on.
Inside you find a choice of high performing Intel Core i5 or i7-6700T 2.8GHz (up to 3.6GHz) processors with 8GB, 16GB or 32GB of RAM and fast 256GB or 512GB SSD storage or 1TB HDD. It is not short on connectivity either as there are two USB3.0 ports, one USB-C 3.1 port, one HDMI, one Display Port for dual monitor output and Gigabit Ethernet. Optional fingerprint sensor also available.
The Slice in Elite Slice refers to a modular stackable system where you can add optional modules and upgrades to the miniPC without opening up the box. A perfect add-on for the mini PC is HP Audio Module tuned by Bang and Olufsen and comes with bi-directional noise cancellation great for board room meetings.
Other stack on modules include the HP ODD (Optical Disk Drive) Module with DVD-RW drive and HP VESA plate for mounting. When buying the system, you need to decide on the type of cover; standard, with wireless charging or collaboration. The later comes with soft touch controls for Skype and conference calls.
